High Heel Lashes

Bonjour, my friends!

It’s another pretty day here in NYC so spirits are up all around! Hopefully all you locals can enjoy it today or at least go for some ice cream and a stroll in the park later on.

:)

Ok, well, today we’re gonna talk about one of my favorite cosmetics, MASCARA!

Lush, long, mascara-ed lashes make me a verrrry happy woman. They really enhance any face! If there is one product that I’d recommend any Beauty from novice to fanatic it’s a good ol’ mascara. The only thing is that there are a million different ones out there, choosing the right one get overwhelming...

But, take heart! Today I’ll help make your choice a little easier by giving my honest opinion on Maybelline’s Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara ($8) . As one of the newer additions to the drugstore family, I’m sure you’ve seen the commercials at some point or another. And, while the model’s lashes look a-ma-zing, I’m sure they are falsies (an unfortunate tactic used in beauty industry commercials and print ads…)

Moving right along, Lash Stiletto’s packaging is so fun! I really love how the tube is shaped like an actual stiletto heel. So cute! But, that might be all I really love about it. It does the job as a mascara – nice deep tint, no real flakes or other craziness – but I’m not a fan of the wand. It has fiber bristles (instead of the firmer rubber bristles I loooove) so it doesn’t separate my lashes all too well. As a result, much more time is spent maneuvering and wiggling to get my teeny little lashes to do what I want them to do.

One more thing, the smell of this stuff is quite hard on my (sensitive) nose. All I can think of to describe it is a “general chemicalized smell” – and, no “chemicalized” is not a word ;) Thankfully, I can’t smell it long after application, but as I put it on…eeks!

Have you tried this stuff out?

Well, if you have any random insights about mascara or life in general – do us a favor and leave a comment!

Later, babes!

Stay Beautiful
